Hell is Around the Corner

"The constant struggle ensures my insanity."

Sometimes it's just easier to turn to the dark side of things because Satan is always there, waiting for us to fall. It takes a lot of energy, passion, and strength to be great and extraordinary people both spiritually and career wise.

I got to thinking, is it really more beneficial to praise the devil instead of praying to a god? I mean, we see it every day in our lives that people make it big by worshiping or claiming to worship the devil or something of a negative energy; Music, art, movies, and literature all have that negative aspect. For example: The Illuminati in finances, media (Music), law, government, and education.

(Clockwise: Jay-Z, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Hilary Clinton, and Nickelodeon)

I mean, it's all cool, and fine, I have no problem with it, I just think it's so easy to go dark than the light in other ways such as addictions to drugs and alcohol, that's scary.
To be consumed in something that feels so good and yet be so bad for you is scary. It scares me to think someone can get to a point that you only see in Intervention or when you're in a really bad town. I'm not gonna lie, I've thought about what it would be like if I were to get myself go to a point of slim to no return, and at times I said, "I'm cool with it" which is true.

I really love what the Darkness has done in rock and Roll. Ozzy, Alice Cooper (even though he was only Satanic because he wanted his music to be successful--my POINT, exactly), Iron Maiden, The Rolling Stones, Marilyn Manson, Lady Gaga, Grace Jones, Bruce Srpingsteen, Guns 'n' Roses, Hanoi Rocks, Judas Priest, Van Halen, Mötley Crüe, etc. It's GENIUS!!

Take a Listen:

Sympathy for the Devil - Guns 'n' Roses

The Devil in You - Hanoi Rocks

Devil in my Life - Grace Jones

Devil's Child - Judas Priest

Shout at the Devil - Mötley Crüe

Runnin' with the Devil - Van Halen

"Rock has always been THE DEVIL'S MUSIC . . . I believe rock and roll is dangerous . . . I feel we're only heralding SOMETHING EVEN DARKER THAN OURSELVES." (Rolling Stone, Feb. 12, 1976)
